Despite their different responsibilities, product marketers and product managers have two big things in common:
1. The customer is always at the center of their universe.
2. There is no one-size-fits-all description of either of the roles — and thus the subject of great debate.
In short – the product manager is responsible for helping to create and define a new product. A product marketer is responsible for bringing it to the market and putting it on the shelf. Here is an understanding of the differences between the roles and common things they collaborate on. Would love to know how both roles function at your organization.
